Q.1 CAN I PLACE MY HTSE WATCH DIRECTLY UNDER A SOURCE OF LIGHT FOR IT TO CHARGE?
Any HTSE watch can be safely charged under a fluorescent desk lamp by placing the watch with the dial facing up and around 8 inches away. Please do not use a halogen lamp as it can generate a lot of heat which can damage the watch.

Q.2 WILL MY HTSE WATCH HEAT UP DURING A CHARGING CYCLE?
The watch does not heat up during charging, however it is advised not to expose the watch to conditions where the temperature exceeds 120 degree Fahrenheit.

Q.3 WILL MY HTSE WATCH BATTERY OVERCHARGE, IF IT IS EXPOSED TO LIGHT ON REGULAR BASIS?
All HTSE watches are provided with an over charging prevention circuit. Recharge your watch without any worry of overcharging the battery. Once the battery is fully charged, a special circuit in the smart chip prevents overcharging of battery, which prevents damage to battery and the watch.

Q.4 WHY DOES THE SERVICE CENTRE REFUSE TO RETURN THE DEFECTIVE BATTERY REMOVED FROM MY WATCH?
Drained batteries have chemicals which may leak and damage environment. To save the environment, Batteries are disposed in safe way by Titan Company Limited.

Q.5 WHAT IS WATER RESISTANCE?
Water resistance is the ability of a watch to resist entry of water under normal conditions of usage. Most Titan watches are resistant upto 3 atmospheres (equivalent to pressure at 30 meters depth of still water). Keeping your watch out of the rain while riding and removing it when you’re bathing or swimming will help prevent water entry and rust to its moving parts.

Q.6 HOW LONG WILL THE BATTERY OF MY WATCH LAST?
Typically, a Titan watch battery is covered under warranty for a period of 1 year from the date of purchase during which Titan offers a free replacement of battery if needed. Please note – the warranty period for battery of digital watches is 6 months. In case of watches with other features such as chronograph, alarm & light facility, battery life depends on frequency of usage of these functions.

Q.7 DO ANY OF THE STRAPS CAUSE ANY ALLERGY?
No, all Titan watch straps—metal, plastic or leather—are anti-allergic.

Q.8 CAN SCRATCHES ON THE DIAL’S SURFACE BE REMOVED THROUGH BUFFING?
No, the mineral glass is hardened & it is not possible to remove the scratches through buffing. You can replace the glass on a chargeable basis.

Q.9 WHAT IS GOLD PLATING?
It is a thin gold layer plated on the surface of the case or strap to give a good lustre & smooth finish to the watch.

Q.10 WHERE CAN I OBTAIN SPARE PARTS FOR MY WATCH?
Titan authorized service centres provide services for your watch, including battery and spare parts replacement.

Q.11 IS POLISHING/RE-PLATING POSSIBLE ON THE GOLD-PLATED CASE & STRAP OF MY WATCH?
While Titan offers a special warranty of 1 year on the gold plating of its watches, polishing or re-plating of such watches is not possible. You may visit your nearest Titan authorized service centre for replacement of case/strap. Titan watches are ion plated to international specifications, using the most advanced technology. Sweat and dirt when not cleaned thoroughly will corrode your watch, making it look dull and unattractive. Wiping your watch and strap with a soft cloth 2-3 times a week will keep dirt and sweat stains away and ensure your watch looks brand new for years.
